If everything goes to the governments plan there will be a new online portal going live on the 31.5.21 to deal with injuries caused in Road Traffic Accidents.
Compensation will start at £240 for injuries lasting 3 months of less upto £4215 for a soft tissue injury lasting 24 months in addition to a small fixed amount for any minor psychological injuries.
The Road Traffic Accident Portal will deal with all claims less than £5000 and no legal costs are recoverable and so it is highly unlikely that going forwards claimants who have been involved in a more minor road traffic accident will be unlikely to be able to access legal advice due to the lack of recovery of the cost of the legal advice.
