Bumper Crowds In Batley
Once again the market place was full as the town turned out to celebrate the turning on of the Christmas lights. And whilst the temperature might have been a bit on the cold side, there were warm smiles all around as people enjoyed the fun.
With the Christmas market selling all sorts of treats, and the pulse road show stage entertaining the crowds with local performers, games and music, there was plenty going on.
The lights were switched on by the Deputy mayor of Kirklees, the Chairman of the BBA Andrew Marsden and local MP Tracy Brabin….all helped by the main man himself, Father Christmas.
