Closing Door, Trapped Fingers
We all use doors. We use them every day. Open, close, open, close, etc. There isn’t much to it really. Fairly straightforward, most of the time.
This case however shows that even the more mundane of day to day activities can still catch you off guard. It only takes a momentary lapse of concentration for something to go wrong.
Young Miss C was at play school, running around, playing with her friends and having fun. That was until she stood next to an open classroom door, with her fingers near the door jamb, because when her teacher closed the door, she didn’t check whether anybody was stood there before doing so. Miss C’s fingers were trapped in the closing door.
We put the claim to the school and they have accepted the accident was the teacher fault, which means that Miss C will be compensated for what happened.
If you have had an accident, you may be able to claim compensation. Call Andrew 01924 473065 or Carolyn 01924 443900 and see what your options are. Or email [email protected]
