Mr K was working on a redevelopment project. He needed to carry out some work in the boiler room that was below ground. The existing steps had been taken out and replaced with some temporary steps that looked as if they had been made out of some old bits of wood, found around the site.

The steps were uneven and different heights. They were also open to the elements and generally not in the best condition. Mr K slipped and fell going down them, causing him to suffer an injury.

We put his case to the firm in control of the site. They would not accept it was their fault, and have fought the case.

We have now been successful in showing it was their fault, and Mr K will be getting compensated.
