Andrew Jinks is one of the most experienced Family Law Specialist Solicitors based in Leeds. Andrew represents clients throughout Leeds, West Yorkshire, York and North Yorkshire, and, increasingly, nationwide. Specialising in divorce and fixed fee divorces, financial remedies (formerly known as ancillary relief) and financial settlements, for both married and unmarried couples, Andrew is known for his ability to bring clarity and closure to seemingly complex and intractable dispute. Andrew is always sensitive to his client’s needs, recognizing how difficult separation can be. Whilst he always endeavours to achieve early cost effective settlement of his clients’ cases, he is equally adept at adopting a robust approach, whenever necessary, to ensure he achieves a the best possible outcome for his clients.
Based at our Leeds office, Andrew also has extensive experience of representing clients on applications for Child Arrangements Orders (formerly known as Custody, Residence and Contact Orders) and is equally at home preparing Separation Agreements and non-contentious clean break consent orders for which he will often offer fixed fees.
Andrew regularly appears before Magistrates, District Judges and Circuit Judges and has also appeared in the High Court and, when necessary, has fought his clients’ case in the Higher Appeal courts.
In his spare time, when not spending time with his family, Andrew is an avid follower of current affairs in British politics and a keen fan of comedy, although is finding it increasingly difficult to distinguish between the two.
